How We Can Help
YOUR ORAL STRUCTURES
...especially your tongue, play a crucial role in fundamental daily activities such as eating, swallowing, speaking, and breathing comfortably. However, when tongue-tie is present, these basic functions can become challenging. Tongue-tie, often present from infancy, commonly leads to mouth breathing, which can, in turn, result in significant long-term health issues like sleep apnea and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder.
WHAT IS OROFACIAL
MYOFUNCTIONAL
THERAPY?
Myofunctional therapy benefits both children and adults!
Myofunctional therapy is a transformative treatment suitable for both children and adults. For children, it serves as a preventative measure, curbing the development of negative habits related to breathing and feeding. In adults, myofunctional therapy addresses lifelong issues associated with tongue-ties and chronic mouth breathing.

Significantly enhances oral health and function!
Myofunctional therapy retrains tongue muscles for proper function and restores the correct resting posture of the tongue, promoting nasal breathing. This therapy involves personalized exercises that teach patients the correct use of their tongue, maintaining proper resting positions, keeping their mouths closed, nasal breathing, and mastering essential functions such as chewing, talking, and swallowing. These exercises often begin before tongue-tie surgery and continue for months following the procedure.

what our patients say...
I brought my 2 week old for a tongue, lip and cheek tie diagnosis and release. The whole team was incredibly gentle and kind, and my baby was relaxed after the procedure. The office was clean and well organized. Carrie and Dr. Strouth were top notch and you could tell they really enjoyed being with the babies. Our aftercare was really great too, they gave detailed instructions and plenty of resources if we needed help.
We went for a lip and tongue tie evaluation for our baby because of latching issues. The team is the best and the doctor very attentive. They explained in detail the procedure. We decided to do the laser surgery that took 5min. Excellent service and follow up. They texted us to verify how the baby was doing and were very attentive to our concerns and gave excellent recommendations and guidance. Highly recommended.
I had my daughters lip and tongue frenectomy done here recently and my experience was perfect. I was able to make an apt quick and they were comforting and reassuring through the whole process. I loved that there was two follow up apts and Carrie texted often to make sure everything was going smoothly after the procedure.
